A freelance artist/designer, Christine Hurayt, has several commissioned pieces of art ranging from drawings to oil paintings and published Illustrations in several books. And designs for brand identities for local Cincinnati companies; such as Star Moving and Storage, G Willie Barbecue products, CISE (Catholic Inner-city School Education Fund), Stowe House and currently working with the Joan Bisesi Levy Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology Research, located in Columbus, Ohio.
Works are in various mediums range from abstracts to realism images. Photography composites are the basis for my designs. Works are in a constant flux of design principles based on traditional skills through contemporary techniques. Strong detail oriented imagery is metamorphosing into open large scale designs. Color, scale, typography, and design are all incorporated into complete images that communicate a meaning or feeling for the viewer.
Having receiving an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Graphic Design/Computer Graphics at AIC College of Design, attended The Art Academy of Cincinnati for two years, I am completing my BFA in Graphic Design at Northern Kentucky University. Use of my design skills is extended into my theater work in the form of theater poster design and set design, having received two Orchid awards for set design excellence from OCTA (Ohio Community Theater Association).
